Event Operations Manager

The Event Operations Manager will oversee the planning and execution of various events, ensuring seamless logistics and exceptional guest experiences. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing event floor staff, and maintaining performance standards in line with industry regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and guide the Events Logistics team, providing on-the-job training and development to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Proactively manage the Event Floor service flow, monitoring performance and making adjustments as necessary to meet expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Floor Manager to ensure smooth business operations and achieve shared goals.
  • Continuously evaluate the work of team members during shifts, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong experience working in high-volume events spaces, convention centres, or sporting event precincts, with a proven ability to lead teams and drive results.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and negotiate effectively.
  • Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain one, plus Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation preferred.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate events and client needs.
