
Data Center Engineering Specialist

- Work with vendors to review and provide input on new data center designs, ensuring they meet our expectations.
- Act as resident engineer during new data center construction projects, overseeing commissioning, handover, and troubleshooting issues.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and create corrective action documentation.
- Provide technical support to design teams, reviewing and approving upgrades to existing data centers to improve availability, efficiency, and capacity.
- Interface with cross-functional teams to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered by operating partners.
- Work on concurrent projects across multiple geographical regions.
- Initiate and lead engineering site audits within leased or colo data centers, producing reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediation's.
- Proven experience in data center engineering, including design, construction, and operations.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and environmental health and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Experience working with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
