We are seeking a skilled Facilities and Assets Portfolio Manager to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. This role is responsible for the overall property and assets portfolio of our Australian, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea locations.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic company that fosters inclusivity and diversity. As a Facilities and Assets Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining a portfolio of buildings, including coordinating building repairs and maintenance, building safety, lease negotiations, contract management, compliance, and assets (including machinery, vehicles, forklifts, warehouse racking, etc.).
Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-level negotiations with external providers of facilities management services and assets to achieve prompt, reliable, cost-effective, quality services.
- Manage landlord and/or managing agent relationships.
- Carry out and coordinate make-good obligations and negotiations.
- Prepare proposals for capital expenditure and minor works using cost-benefit analysis techniques.
- Negotiate rental and lease contracts with external agents and vendors to ensure cost-effective, low-risk terms.
- Oversee the engagement of contractors in accordance with company policy to undertake facilities-related works.
- Implement and monitor programs to ensure full compliance with relevant local regulations and state and commonwealth legislative requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in managing buildings and assets.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
The estimated annual salary for this role is around $120,000 - $150,000 AUD, depending on experience. DSV offers a dynamic work environment, opportunities for growth and development, and a comprehensive benefits package.
