**Aquatic Animal Care Specialist**

We are seeking a highly skilled Aquatic Animal Care Specialist to join our team at the aquarium.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with a variety of aquatic animals, develop innovative exhibits, and provide an exceptional visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily husbandry, management, and welfare tasks for the animal collection.
  • Develop and maintain excellent animal exhibits that deliver an exceptional visitor experience.
  • Prepare and feed fish and marine animals.
  • Clean and maintain exhibits and quarantine tanks.
  • Implement high levels of cleanliness in all displays, quarantine, and food preparation areas.
  • Maintain and develop display lighting, signage, and interactive displays.
  • Work with life support systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant science qualification or equivalent experience in an aquarium/aquaculture environment.
  • Passion for marine animals, commitment, loyalty, and strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional communication skills, solution-focused, and ability to work well in a fast-paced team.
  • Ability to multi-task, flexible, adaptable approach, and high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated planning, organisational, and time management skills.
