Aquatic Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Aquatic Animal Care Specialist to join our team.
Job Description:This role involves working within the Curatorial team, ensuring top-notch animal husbandry practices while providing an exceptional experience for our visitors. You will work across multiple exhibits, including the possibility of working with penguins, sharks, and crocodiles.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for marine animals, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily tasks such as animal husbandry, management, and welfare
- Develop and maintain innovative animal exhibits
- Prepare and feed fish and marine animals
- Maintain cleanliness of displays, quarantine, and food preparation areas
- Operate Life Support Systems
- Dive in our displays (if qualified)
To be successful in this role, you will possess a relevant science qualification or equivalent experience in an aquarium/aquaculture environment. Desirable qualifications include diving certifications, first aid training, and a Bachelor's degree in Zoology or Biology.
