Medical Urology Position at Rural Hospital

As a Visiting Medical Officer in Urology, you will have the opportunity to work at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital. Our state-of-the-art facility offers a strong network of support and exciting opportunities for experienced medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to adult and paediatric patients with urological conditions.
  • Supervise junior medical staff and specialist registrars in their daily tasks.
  • Participate in on-call services and provide expert advice when required.
Requirements:
  • A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Urology), or overseas trained specialist pathways.
  • Recent and comprehensive experience in treating urological conditions.
  • Ability to maintain professional development and assist other staff in knowledge acquisition.
  • Strong communication skills, including written and oral communication.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary framework and with various stakeholders.
  • Previous leadership and management experience, with flexibility to adapt to changing health systems.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and peer review.
  • Dedication to improving individual and societal health through advocacy and contributions to quality improvement activities.
