Lifeline is a national charity providing 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services to all Australians experiencing emotional distress.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to lead our Gifts in Wills program. As a key member of our Individual Giving team, you will use your expertise to develop and implement integrated strategies to increase visibility of Gifts in Wills and secure future revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy using a multi-channel approach, including digital marketing, television advertising, direct mail, surveys, personal contact, events, and data segmentation.
  • Ensure effective transfer of bequest gifts to Lifeline, including liaison with executors, legal counsel, and finance staff.
  • Report on and forecast bequest pipeline growth and income.
  • Monitor trends and best practice in legacy fundraising to inspire the growth of the bequest program.
  • Oversee all aspects of estate administration, from notification to receipting.
  • Collaborate with Executors, Solicitors, and Trustees, as well as other charities where we share interests.
  • Represent Lifeline in estate mediation or court proceedings.

Your Skills & Attributes:

  • Proven track record of managing and growing a Gifts in Wills program using multi-channel marketing, relationship fundraising, and targeted data analytics.
  • Knowledge of estate management and experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver complex projects.
  • Familiarity with direct marketing and relationship fundraising principles at scale, along with complex data segmentation for large fundraising programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and editing skills.
  • Proven track record of forecasting and delivering against revenue targets.
  • Able to analyse and organise information to identify philanthropic patterns and relationships among supporters.

Educational Background

Candidates should possess relevant qualifications and/or extensive industry experience.
