The Strategic Director brings together strategic foresight, planning, engagement, and enterprise reporting into a consolidated capability that supports senior leaders and informs business decisions.

  • Lead the development and integration of long-range enterprise strategies and planning frameworks.
  • Deliver high-quality internal and external reporting, including the Corporate Plan.
  • Interpret complex data and policy signals and provide system-level advice to guide business positioning.
  • Offer authoritative guidance on economic trends and the feasibility of strategic directions.
  • Develop insights to inform strategic messaging and support communication of organizational vision and outcomes.
  • Establish and continuously improve enterprise performance measurement and evaluation frameworks.
  • Provide strategic foresight through scenario modelling and risk-informed planning.
  • Steward the insight ecosystem – connecting data holders, surfacing strategic questions, and reducing duplication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to publish research that contributes to policy debate and establishes thought leadership.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Post-graduate qualifications in economics, strategy, data science, or a related field.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in public sector strategy, performance reporting, or regulatory reform.
  • High-level critical thinking and policy modelling capabilities.
  • Strong track record in senior stakeholder engagement and executive advising.
