Strategic Director Job Opportunity
This is a senior leadership position that plays a pivotal role in setting the direction of an organization by leading the development of long-range strategies, delivering high-quality reporting, and providing robust advice to guide decision-making.
The Strategic Director brings together strategic foresight, planning, engagement, and enterprise reporting into a consolidated capability that supports senior leaders and informs business decisions.
Lead the development and integration of long-range enterprise strategies and planning frameworks.
Deliver high-quality internal and external reporting, including the Corporate Plan.
Interpret complex data and policy signals and provide system-level advice to guide business positioning.
Offer authoritative guidance on economic trends and the feasibility of strategic directions.
Develop insights to inform strategic messaging and support communication of organizational vision and outcomes.
Establish and continuously improve enterprise performance measurement and evaluation frameworks.
Provide strategic foresight through scenario modelling and risk-informed planning.
Steward the insight ecosystem – connecting data holders, surfacing strategic questions, and reducing duplication.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to publish research that contributes to policy debate and establishes thought leadership.
Requirements
Qualifications
Post-graduate qualifications in economics, strategy, data science, or a related field.
Experience
Demonstrated experience in public sector strategy, performance reporting, or regulatory reform.
High-level critical thinking and policy modelling capabilities.
Strong track record in senior stakeholder engagement and executive advising.
