This job is seeking a highly skilled occupational health nurse to provide expert care and advice to personnel on site. The successful candidate will have the ability to work autonomously, align with medical guidelines, and possess a strong understanding of injury management and rehabilitation practices.Job Description:As an occupational health nurse, you will be responsible for providing timely and competent treatment and advice for injuries and illnesses to all personnel on site. You will also be required to encourage awareness amongst employees and contractors on health issues and healthy lifestyle options. Additionally, you will deliver training which imparts skills and knowledge of injury treatment and management practices and procedures. You will provide statistics and information to line management to assist injury and illness prevention initiatives. Furthermore, you will deliver advanced emergency first aid training to Emergency Response Team members and assist with managing Workers' Compensation cases.Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is essential.
  • Immunisation Certificate and HLTPAT005 Drugs of Abuse Testing are also required.
  • A current and valid C class manual Driver's Licence is necessary.
  • Previous experience working in emergency or remote area nursing roles is highly regarded.
  • A working knowledge of Injury Management and Rehabilitation practices and procedures is desirable.
