Occupational Health Nurse

Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our established and dedicated team.

The Role

As a site based Occupational Health Nurse you will provide timely and competent treatment and advice for injuries and illness at Murrin Murrin Operations (MMO).
You will be responsible for:

- Providing treatment and advice to all personnel to minimise the effects of injuries and to maximise injury recovery rates.
- Encouraging an improved level of awareness amongst employees and contractors on health issues and healthy lifestyle options.
- Delivering training which imparts skills and knowledge of injury treatment and management practices and procedures.
- Providing timely and accurate statistics and information to line management to assist injury and illness prevention initiatives.
- Delivering advanced emergency first aid training to Emergency Response Team members.
- Assisting with managing Workers' Compensation cases.

About You

This role would suit a motivated health professional looking for an opportunity to support and educate people in site health and safety.
You will also have:

- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Immunisation Certificate and HLTPAT005 Drugs of Abuse Testing (Essential)
- Current & Valid C class manual Driver's Licence (Essential)
- Previous experience working in emergency or in a remote area nursing role
- A working knowledge of Injury Management and Rehabilitation practices and procedures
- Ability to work autonomously to align with site medical guidelines
- Approved Audiometric Officers Certificate and the ability to conduct spirometry testing (Desirable)
