Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Procurement & Contract Manager to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of the Michael Page organization, you will play a pivotal role in delivering major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategic procurement and contract management plans to ensure optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships with senior managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality services.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop scope of work documents, tenders, and contracts.
  • Negotiating prices, contract terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve best value.
  • Managing the procurement process end-to-end, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy requirements.
  • Leading contract administration activities, including contract reviews, performance monitoring, and dispute resolution.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and contract management, preferably in major infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement and contracts legislation and contractual requirements.
  • High-level skills in developing and managing strategic relationships with vendors, as well as dealing with large-scale commercial contract matters.
  • Strong people management, interpersonal, planning, coordination, and negotiation skills.
  • A strong understanding of spend data analysis and reporting.
