The role of Senior Specialist is a key position within the Cardiology Service, providing diagnostic and procedural services for patients with suspected or established cardiac conditions. We adopt a multidisciplinary model to deliver integrated specialist care across the care continuum.
About the RoleOur team provides comprehensive care to patients through collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and technologies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) – Specialist Cardiologist (or equivalent).
- Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging subspecialty training with accreditation in Level 2 Adult Echocardiography as per CSANZ requirements (or equivalent).
Qualification in Cardiac CT and/or Cardiac MRI is highly desirable.
