Overview
We are seeking an experienced Child Health Nurse to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality child and family health services to families caring for children 0-3 years of age.
Job DescriptionThis role is ideal for a nurse with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who is passionate about working with families and contributing to the delivery of quality healthcare services. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to families and promote healthy outcomes for children.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in areas such as child development, health promotion, and illness prevention. Our team is committed to delivering evidence-based practice, and we encourage all staff members to contribute to ongoing professional development and education.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Demonstrated experience in attending to the physical, social and emotional needs of children, and their families
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of population health and primary health care
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of working in partnership and the NSW Safestart principles within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
- Computer literacy
- Understanding of and commitment to, evidence-based practice
