Expert Nursing Care Specialist

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes, utilizing your extensive experience and expertise as a registered nurse.

The ideal candidate will be able to deliver expert clinical care, administer medications, and manage central venous access devices and total parenteral nutrition (TPN).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver High-Quality Clinical Care: Provide individualized nursing care to clients based on their specific needs, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care possible.
  • Administer Medications and Manage Devices: Administer medications safely and effectively, manage central venous access devices, and oversee TPN setup and removal procedures.
  • Perform Complex Procedures: Perform PEG feeding and enteral support with precision and care, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
  • Provide Behavioral Support: Utilize a trauma-informed approach to deliver behavioral support, promoting emotional well-being and stability for patients and families.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation, tracking patient progress and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current Registration: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Pediatric Experience: Significant experience in pediatric nursing, developing expertise in caring for children and adolescents.
  • Clinical Competence: Demonstrated competence in central line care, TPN setup/removal, and PEG feeding, showcasing expertise in complex procedures.
  • Clearances: National Police Check and willingness to obtain, alongside a current driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Availability: Regular PM shifts, with occasional overnight cover, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
