The Pediatric Care Unit at our hospital is a dynamic service caring for infants, children and adolescents, and their families. Our unit is a 24-bed facility providing specialized medical & surgical care to neonates, children & adolescents.
As a skilled healthcare professional in this role, you will be working as part of a high-performing team that values collaboration, forward thinking and patient-centered care. You will have the opportunity to gain unique experience in a growing teaching hospital with a diverse and friendly culture.
About the RoleThis position requires an experienced nurse with current AHPRA registration, Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent and Post Graduate qualification in pediatrics (or willingness to undertake). The successful candidate will possess sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, highly developed interpersonal skills and clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert care for neonates, children, adolescents and their families in a 24-bed pediatric ward.
- Work collaboratively as part of a high-functioning team to deliver quality patient-centered care.
- Use sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills to provide expert care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families and colleagues.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Post Graduate qualification in pediatrics (or willingness to undertake)
