Job Title: Specialist Clinical Haematologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced specialist clinical haematologist to provide high-quality clinical services to patients with general, malignant, and transplant indicated haematological conditions.

About the Role:

This is a mid-senior level, temporary position for 6 months with the option to extend. As a specialist clinical haematologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical services to patients, including outpatient services and inpatient specialist expertise; contributing to the operation and management of the SVH Stem Cell laboratory; teaching, supervising, and mentoring haematology fellows, advanced trainees, and junior medical staff; and participating in research in the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical services to patients, both inpatients and outpatients;
  • Complete face-to-face clinics and telehealth services;
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff;
  • Participate in ward rounds and clinical meetings;
  • Contribute to unit management meetings;

  • Possession of specialist registration in Clinical Haematology;
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and high standards of clinical practice in Clinical Haematology;
  • Experience in research relevant to the development of new knowledge and practices;

  • Ability to provide compassionate care as evidenced by recent experience in a multidisciplinary team environment;
