Our organization is seeking a seasoned tax leader to oversee its end-to-end tax strategy across Australia and New Zealand. This key leadership role is responsible for managing corporate tax compliance, reporting, and governance, while driving strategic initiatives to optimize our tax position and support business growth.

This position requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in corporate tax compliance, including income tax returns, BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, contractor withholding tax, and transfer pricing documentation.

The successful candidate will provide expert tax advice to senior leadership in this business-critical role, ensuring alignment with internal controls, policies, and evolving tax legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all corporate tax compliance obligations.
  • Manage tax provisioning & deferred tax calculations.
  • Provide strategic tax advisory support on M&A, corporate restructuring, and international expansion.
  • Partner with senior leadership and the Board on tax strategy and planning opportunities.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a robust tax governance framework.
  • Manage tax audits and ATO reviews in coordination with advisors and tax authorities.
  • Deliver in-house training on GST, FBT, withholding tax, and other key areas to non-tax stakeholders.
  • Mentor and manage the tax team to support their performance, development, and career growth.
  • Monitor changes in local and international tax law and assess business impact.
  • Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.
