Food Service Assistant Position

Catering to the needs of others requires a high level of professionalism, reliability and food preparation skills. We are seeking a Casual Food Service Assistant to join our team at an immigration detention centre in Perth.

The role involves preparing and serving meals as directed by the Head Chef, while also maintaining cleanliness standards in the food preparation and consumption areas. Ensuring compliance with HACCP Food Safety guidelines is crucial in this position.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Cert II - Kitchen Operations or higher
  • Food Safety Certificates
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
  • A strong understanding of food safety guidelines and protocols
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
