Lead Global Freight Operations Manager


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Officer to oversee and manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations across air, sea, and land.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of freight forwarding activities.
  • Coordinate shipments, bookings, and documentation with carriers and agents.
  • Supervise junior operations staff, provide training and guidance.
  • Ensure full compliance with customs, trade, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational performance, identify areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve operational issues and ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Collaborate with finance on billing, cost control, and profitability.

Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in freight forwarding operations, at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping, import/export procedures, and customs regulations.
  • Solid understanding of wharf cartage and general transport.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in freight forwarding software (Cargowise) and MS Office tools.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
