Job Opportunity: Hospital Social Worker

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Hospital Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Community or Acute Social Work, with a focus on rural generalist social work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To deliver high level rural generalist social work services and leadership as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve better health outcomes for children, families and adults.
  • To provide high level clinical social work across a varied range of clinical areas, including acute, subacute, emergency, maternity, palliative, adult, child and family, outpatient and outreach clinics.
  • To demonstrate knowledge and understanding required to navigate statutory processes and negotiate complex processes through QCAT, The Public Trustee and The Office of the Public Guardian.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in Community or Acute Social Work, not Mental Health.
  • Experience in rural generalist social work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement around health issues related to child and family issues, ageing, acute and chronic disease.
