Bridge Engineering Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled bridge engineer to lead our team in the delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects across Australia.
About the Role- The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, specifically in bridge engineering, and excellent leadership skills.
- This role requires people management, business development, and strategic planning expertise.
The Lead Bridge Engineer will be responsible for supervising a group of bridge engineers and designers, providing people leadership, and raising bridge knowledge and expertise across the group.
Main Responsibilities- Planning, organizing, and leading project teams in the delivery, design, and documentation of project requirements;
- Contract negotiations, including variations, claims, and commercial disputes;
- Project management and technical leadership across various multi-disciplined projects;
- Business development and strategic initiatives, including proposal preparation;
- Monitoring output to ensure high technical standards, within agreed budgets and timeframes, and compliance with Hatch's business systems;
- Mentoring and developing technical staff;
- Providing vision and leadership to team members;
- Hiring and expanding the team;
- Liaising with other business sectors leaders within and outside the organization;
- Approval of employee time, expenses, and management functions.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in civil engineering, extensive industry experience as a Bridge Engineer recognized by clients at state level, and a track record of delivering complex multidisciplinary projects on time and to budget.
