Medical Officer Position in Rehabilitation Ward

The hospital is seeking a Medical Officer to provide medical cover on the Rehabilitation Ward. As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for patient assessment, management, and escalation as required.

Responsibilities

This role involves providing high-quality patient care, participating in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, and supporting the growth and expansion of services.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
  • Understanding of Rehabilitation Model of Care.
  • Ability to identify deviations in diagnostic results and manage accordingly.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience adequate to undertake the roles required of a Medical Officer.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Immunisation evidence and serology report in accordance with NSW Health guidelines.
  • Australian permanent resident status or equivalent work rights required.
  • Experience with hospital data systems and relevant applications.
  • Previous private hospital experience and/or Medical & Rehabilitation experience.
