Job Title: Trade Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Trade Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional support to our mechanical tradespeople and workshop based team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing minor repairs and services of vehicles and equipment, moving buses within the yard, parking and refuelling them, pick-up and delivery of parts and other objects as required by the Workshop Supervisor or Leading Hand, general yard/workshop cleaning and maintenance, and store duties as and when required.

About Us

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $31.21 - $35.81 per hour, earning potential of up to $85,000+, attendance allowance, annual leave loading, sick leave, long service leave, ongoing training and development opportunities, licence upgrade opportunities, and career progression opportunities.

  • Benefits:
  • A competitive hourly rate of $31.21 - $35.81 per hour.
  • Earning potential of up to $85,000+ including reasonable overtime loading and generous allowances.
  • Attendance allowance: $15.08 payable on rostered worked hours.
  • Annual leave loading of 17.5% - 20% (dependent on consecutive shift type and pattern).
  • Up to 5 weeks annual leave (dependent on consecutive shift type and pattern).
  • 15 days sick leave accrued annually.
  • Eligible for long service leave after 7 years.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a willingness to work a variety of shifts, strong verbal and written communication skills, experience in working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules, confidence in using computers and software packages, and be proactive with a drive to finding better ways to continuously improve and be adaptable in a dynamic and growing team.
