About the role *
This position aims to represent Social Work within Royal Rehab and to external organisations, and ensures a high standard of clinical practice across the social work discipline.
**Your main Duties will include**:

- Providing leadership to a team of social workers
- Fostering a culture of practice development, evidence-based practice, research and professional development.
- Mentoring existing staff and onboarding new recruits
- Monitoring the service resources and working with the Clinical Operations Managers to address resource gaps
- Working clinically to meet the operational needs of the Business Units.

About you *
**We seek a self-motivated and skilled social worker with**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work & eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Extensive clinical experience working with people with complex disability across a variety of settings.
- Previous team management experience or leading a team of health professionals
- High level interpersonal communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and presentation skills
- Extensive experience and demonstrated advanced level skills in counselling/casework, and advocacy.
- A commitment to personal and staff professional development.
- An interest in health care leadership and previous experience teaching or mentoring health professional and/or students.
