About the Role:This position supports individuals experiencing financial hardship, focusing on those affected by family violence.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver comprehensive financial guidance to clients with diverse needs, addressing potential abuse or violence.
- Apply trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approaches to empower clients in achieving their financial objectives.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders to contribute to strategic and operational outcomes for Client Services.
- Represent clients' interests with financial institutions, service providers, and external dispute resolution agencies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices, providing accurate advice to clients.
- Nurture strong networks with external agencies and within the financial guidance sector to enhance client outcomes.
- Ensure precise documentation and compliance with organisational standards, reporting requirements, and professional registration.
- Minimum Diploma level qualifications in financial guidance.
- At least 2 years of experience in Financial Guidance.
- Experience working with vulnerable clients, particularly those at risk.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to implement trauma-informed practices.
- Understanding and experience in domestic and family violence, and financial abuse counselling, including risk assessment.
- Capacity to engage in effective, person-centred conversations with people from diverse backgrounds.
