This position supports individuals experiencing financial hardship, focusing on those affected by family violence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive financial guidance to clients with diverse needs, addressing potential abuse or violence.
  • Apply trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approaches to empower clients in achieving their financial objectives.
  • Foster collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders to contribute to strategic and operational outcomes for Client Services.
  • Represent clients' interests with financial institutions, service providers, and external dispute resolution agencies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices, providing accurate advice to clients.
  • Nurture strong networks with external agencies and within the financial guidance sector to enhance client outcomes.
  • Ensure precise documentation and compliance with organisational standards, reporting requirements, and professional registration.
About You:
  • Minimum Diploma level qualifications in financial guidance.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Financial Guidance.
  • Experience working with vulnerable clients, particularly those at risk.
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to implement trauma-informed practices.
  • Understanding and experience in domestic and family violence, and financial abuse counselling, including risk assessment.
  • Capacity to engage in effective, person-centred conversations with people from diverse backgrounds.
