About the Opportunity
The University of Tasmania is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Marine Spatial Science. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to research on the distribution of marine species and integrate marine and landscape ecology to address broad-scale patterns in marine systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on the distribution of marine species and develop new teaching materials
- Undertake high-quality research of national and international standing and secure external funding
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate coursework and develop new teaching materials
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive links with the discipline and wider community
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent in a relevant field such as marine and coastal ecology, geography, geospatial science, or oceanography
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the application of spatial analysis and remote sensing techniques
- Experience in University-level teaching and learning and a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging teaching materials

Salary Details
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B or C and will have a total remuneration package of up to $178,024 comprising base salary and superannuation.
