Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee clinical care within the service, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Coordinate liaison between residents, their families, unit staff, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive input into resident assessments and care.
  • Liaise with medical practitioners, allied health, and other health professionals to ensure positive outcomes for our residents.
  • Oversee training and development programs for RNs, ENs, and Care Workers, monitoring staff competency levels and identifying training needs to ensure continuous improvements.
  • Monitor and identify AN-ACC reviews, including ensuring that documentation is proficient and consumer care funding is maximised.
  • Effectively manage incidents, ensuring impact is minimised with appropriate actions taken to make improvements where needed.

Requirements:

  • AHPRA Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse working within the aged care sector
  • Strong clinical skills and extensive knowledge of the aged care standards and regulations
  • Understanding of the AN-ACC process, assessments, and reviews
  • Background in the training and development of staff
  • Great communication skills and ability to understand and appreciate cultural diversity
  • Empathetic approach to patient care
