Join Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton in providing exceptional care to patients across Central Queensland.
We are seeking a skilled Registered Midwife/Nurse to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care and supporting the delivery of outstanding nursing and midwifery services.
- Provide comprehensive ante and postnatal assessments, developing and revising care plans that cater to the physical, psychological, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients.
- Collaborate with patients and their support persons throughout the pregnancy and birth continuum, ensuring personalized and culturally sensitive maternity care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, communicating effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and high standards of care.
- Develop comprehensive discharge plans, providing patients and their support persons with adequate resources and community services access.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current dual registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Midwife and Registered Nurse.
- Currency of neonatal resuscitation.
- Currency of K2 Perinatal Training through an approved provider.
- Postgraduate qualifications in relevant nursing and midwifery specialities or working towards (e.g., lactation consultant) is desired.
- Minimum of one year of postgraduate experience, including in birth suites.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles.
