About the Role

Mushroom Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing critical support to our financial operations, ensuring the smooth processing of accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including coding, reconciliation, supplier payments, and creditor applications.
  • Accounts Receivable Support: Assist with the preparation of invoices, allocation of receipts, and investigation of discrepancies.
  • Financial Reconciliations: Reconcile all bank accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and other month-end reconciliations.
  • Expense Claim Reconciliation: Assist with the reconciliation of expense claims and credit cards.
  • Year-End Audit Support: Provide support to the finance team during the year-end audit process.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working in a similar role with a high-volume accounts payable process.
  • Experience with MYOB / eftsure / Prospend.
  • Exposure to accounts receivable.
  • Experience with Office 365 (Teams/Outlook/SharePoint).
  • Proactive and able to problem-solve.
  • Strong ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high attention to detail, confidence, and a positive attitude.
