Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for laying sewer, storm water and water main. This role requires manual handling and repetitive tasks with some moderate to heavy lifting and reaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pipe Layers:
    • Must have experience laying sewer, storm water and water main.
    • Ability to perform manual handling and repetitive tasks with some moderate to heavy lifting and reaching.
    • Capable of shooting and reducing levels using Dumpy level.
    • Ability to set-up pipe laser.
    • Ability to read, interpret and understand plans and standards.
  • Excavator Operators:
    • Operating 20 tonne plus machines.
    • Demonstrated experience of lifting operations.
    • Ability to carry-out deep excavations.
    • Skilled with working in shoring.
    • Capable of trenching.
    • Placing pipes.
    • Back-fill and compaction.
  • Foreman:
    • Prior experience as a Civil Drainage Foreman (minimum 2 years).
    • Solid understanding of advanced civil pipe principles.
    • Demonstrated experience in residential subdivision works installing deep sewer, storm water and water.
    • Knowledge to deal with all adverse ground conditions.
    • Comprehensive understanding of current SEQ standards.
    • A strong commitment to OHS and Safe Work Practices.
    • Communicate with influence, sound written and verbal skills.
    • Variety of plant machinery tickets highly regarded.
