Clinical Neonatal Nurse Educator

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Clinical Neonatal Nurse Educator.

  • This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Senior Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA registration, relevant post-registration qualifications and experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or related discipline to make a meaningful contribution to the Special Care Nursery.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent clinical skills, time management abilities, and strong communication skills with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
  • A compassionate approach to care and management, with a warm, flexible and family-centred attitude.
  • The ability to foster friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

In addition to the above requirements, the successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of, or be in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with the Director and Deputy Directors of Nursing and Midwifery Education, empowering Nurses and Midwives to practice to the fullest extent of their neonatal scope.

  • To promote excellence in professional practice through education and empowerment of Nurses and Midwives.
  • To work collaboratively with the Director and Deputy Directors of Nursing and Midwifery Education to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Registered Senior Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA registration.
  • Relevant post-registration qualifications and experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or related discipline.
  • Recent practice in Special Care Nursery.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • You demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving.
  • Recent Clinical Education Experience.
