We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help us embed AI-assisted tools and capabilities in our engineering team. As a key member of the CIO for Technology portfolio, you will focus on lifting developer experience, delivery velocity, and software quality across the bank.

The successful candidate will collaborate on complex technical problems from discovery to implementation, ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes. They will translate business and engineering requirements into clear designs; break down work and create clarity for delivery squads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on complex technical problems from discovery to implementation
  • Translate business and engineering requirements into clear designs
  • Experiment with emerging AI/ML tooling
  • Deliver resilient components and services that integrate into other teams' products and pipelines
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and propose improvements
  • Maintain high-quality codebases through active code reviews and documentation
  • Work cross-functionally to align roadmaps and manage dependencies
Requirements
  • Extensive experience designing scalable software systems
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML applications applied to software engineering workflows
  • Proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, TypeScript, or C#
  • Experience building microservices on public cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Strong technical leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Growth mindset with a bias toward iterative experimentation
