About the Role

The Assistant Director, Workforce will partner with senior leaders and teams across the organisation to implement innovative workforce solutions that ensure the agency's workforce is highly skilled, engaged, and well-positioned to meet future challenges. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing workforce strategies that support the organisation's goals and address current and future workforce needs.
  • Managing workforce planning, talent management, and capability development programs to ensure a diverse and high-performing workforce.
  • Developing and implementing frameworks for workforce analytics and reporting to provide insights that drive informed decision-making.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of HR professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you will need to be an Australian Citizen, hold a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2) or be willing to obtain one. Candidates who are permanently employed in the APS are encouraged to apply as a section 26, labour hire, or NGO. Also, candidates who are currently working in a private sector with strong transferable skills are highly encouraged to apply.
