Job Description
The lodge provides accommodations, including rooms, eco-tents, and camping sites, along with amenities such as two swimming pools, restaurants, bars, a general store, and access to Yellow Water Cruises and the Warradjan Cultural Centre. Our commitment to Indigenous employment includes 25% of our team being Indigenous staff, working on country. As part of our ongoing support for Indigenous employment and development, we collaborate with the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation through the Real Jobs Program.
Responsibilities
- Close month-end and year-end journals and compile financial reports for management.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of bank statements and related financial reports.
- Prepare quarterly GST submission and manage corporate tax compilation.
- Supervise the finance team, recruit and develop staff, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Develop and deliver staff training and manage team performance.
Requirements
Diploma in Accounting or Finance
At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within hospitality/finance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting systems
High attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
