The National Demand Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in the organization by creating, reviewing, and improving sales forecasts for Infrabuild Reinforcing (IBR) and Australian Reinforcing Company (ARC). This position involves working with multiple sources of data to create an accurate estimate of future sales, which directly impacts supply and purchase planning decisions.
Responsibilities and Expectations- Maintain and execute statistical sales forecasting functionality in SAP APO.
- Continuously seek improvement in the application of available APO DP functionality to optimize forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with other SAP APO users and experts to share knowledge and best practices.
- Develop statistical sales forecasts in the SAP APO tool, ensuring that modeling is representative of historical data.
- Recommend adjustments to improve forecast accuracy and provide supporting context.
The ideal candidate will possess strong cross-functional relationships and influence key stakeholders to drive alignment and implement sustainable demand planning processes.
Essential Skills and Qualifications- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Science are required.
- Demonstrated experience in leading the Demand Planning function within a complex distribution and manufacturing organization.
- Ability to define and implement improvement initiatives across planning processes.
- Advanced skills and knowledge using SAP or Advanced Planning Systems and statistical forecasting techniques and systems are essential.
