Cocoon Group Services is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering our participants to live independently and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centered support to participants with complex care, personal care, and high physical needs
- Assist participants with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management
- Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote participant independence and well-being
- Collaborate with other support workers and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment that values diversity and promotes participant empowerment
- Minimum 2 years' experience in disability support or a related field
- Current First Aid, CPR, NDIS Orientation, COVID Infection Control, NDIS Workers Screening, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check
- Current Open Driver's Licence
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with participants and their families
