Job Title: Compliance Manager

As a Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in formulating and implementing the audit and assurance strategy for the organisation. This includes crafting an annual audit and assurance schedule, testing scripts for audit and assurance activities, and reporting on findings to relevant stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have sound experience in a similar compliance role, with previous experience as an insurance broker or underwriter being advantageous. They will also be able to create testing scripts that test compliance with key obligations and accurately identify issues when testing sample files.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement audit and assurance strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the Line 2 audit and assurance function, driving the audit and assurance schedule and testing scripts.
  • Report on findings to relevant stakeholders, including business partners and governance committees.
  • Supervise audit remediation items to completion and prepare reports summarising audit and assurance findings.
  • Assist and deliver training to the business on its Line 1 audit framework and mentor and coach direct reports.

Key Qualifications:

  • Sound experience in a compliance role, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Previous experience as an insurance broker or underwriter or understanding of the insurance industry.
  • RG146 qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to create testing scripts that test compliance with key obligations.
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
