The Role

  • This is a permanent full-time position focused on heavy diesel mechanics and mobile plant equipment fitting at our Townsville branch.
  • You will learn to execute OEM level services with a core focus on diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for our valued customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Commitment: Maintain a high standard of precaution and duty of care.
  • Overhaul hydraulic and mechanical components on various equipment.
  • Undertake diagnostic work, failure analysis, and repairs; liaise with technical specialists when required.
  • Complete and submit relevant paperwork and reports.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach apprentices.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Trade Qualifications - Minimum Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience & Skillset - Heavy Diesel mechanics and field service fitters with demonstrated work experience and technical knowledge of construction equipment.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Analytical thinking – navigate complex technical issues in repair and maintenance services.
  • Autonomous productivity – take initiative to plan work fronts efficiently and effectively.
