
Heavy Equipment Tyre Technician

As a Tyre Fitter, you will work in a dynamic and challenging environment. The primary responsibility is to ensure heavy mining equipment's tyres, rims, and wheel assemblies are properly fitted, removed, and repaired.
You will be responsible for conducting regular tyre inflation checks, adjusting pressures, and reporting to the supervisor. Sourcing technical information from manuals, bulletins, and computer systems is also essential.
The role involves removing, fitting, and repairing tyres, rims, and wheel assemblies on heavy mining equipment, ensuring quality standards are met. Effective problem-solving and time management skills are necessary to prevent equipment non-conformance and address quality issues efficiently.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Ensure proper removal, fitting, and repair of tyres, rims, and wheel assemblies on heavy mining equipment.
- Conduct regular tyre inflation checks, adjust pressures, and report to the supervisor.
- Sources technical information from manuals, bulletins, and computer systems.
- Prevent equipment non-conformance and address quality issues proactively.
- Adhere to site procedures and provide solutions through designated channels.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Service Technology AUR21920 or AUR21916.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Tyre Fitter.
- Experience in the mining, heavy earthmoving, or hydraulic excavator industry.
- An HR driver's license (preferred).
- A Coal Board Medical.
- A Standard 11.
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- The ability to perform intensive manual labor outside.
