Job Title: Senior Financial Strategist

About the Role:

Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled financial professional to lead its Corporate Finance Team within the Finance & Business Performance Division. As a key member of our finance leadership team, you will play a critical role in delivering strategic financial insights and supporting business planning.

This senior position involves collaborating with executive and board-level stakeholders to provide actionable recommendations that inform business decisions and drive financial sustainability. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive financial plans, managing complex financial models, and ensuring accurate and timely external financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement multi-year financial strategies that align with organisational objectives.
  • Financial Modelling: Create and manage sophisticated financial models to support business decision-making and drive performance improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and submit accurate external financial reports.
  • Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow management, debt analysis, and asset/liability management to ensure sound financial practices.
  • Credit Rating Management: Analyse credit ratings and develop strategies to maintain or improve our credit rating.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster effective relationships with stakeholders, including executive management, boards, and external parties.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related field, with CPA or CA designation.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in financial strategy development and implementation, with expertise in managing complex financial models and providing strategic financial insights.
  • Skills: Strong commercial acumen, high-level analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to support business decision-making.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.

Remuneration and Benefits:

The remuneration package will be based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
