Community Social Volunteer, (Fishing and Gardening)

We are seeking volunteers to engage with our clients who share similar interests in gardening, fishing, or pets.

This role involves regular visits to provide social interaction, conversation, and enjoyment of hobbies.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and yourself.

Regular visits from volunteers can help improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation.

We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people.

We promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Key Requirements:

  • Aged 18 years or older
  • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid by HammondCare

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30-minute to one-hour visit between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
