Personal Care and Support Specialist

Providing high-quality care and support to older members of our community is a rewarding and challenging role that requires compassion, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills.

As a Personal Care and Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and assisting with mobility and therapy goals. You will also provide companionship and social support to clients, promoting mental stimulation and reducing feelings of loneliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personal care services, such as bathing, dressing, and assisting with daily living tasks
  • Provide companionship and social support to clients, including engaging in activities and conversations
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, and household chores

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 3 months of experience in a similar professional role, preferably in aged care
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families
