Behaviour Support Practitioner Role Overview

The ideal candidate will be a Behaviour Support Practitioner with experience in positive behaviour support principles, NDIS participant assessments, and person-centred planning. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Needs Assessment and Person-Centred Planning: Assist participants and their supporters in needs assessments and develop comprehensive support plans.
  • Support Plan Delivery: Deliver tailored support plans in complex settings, ensuring alignment with individual goals and passions.
  • Positive Behaviour Support Principles: Develop and implement meaningful strategies based on positive behaviour support principles, promoting empowerment and growth.

This role also involves building capacity among supporters, including family and carers, to enhance career advancement pathways and contribute to a culture of professional development.

Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in behaviour support and allied health disciplines.
  • Proven experience in positive behaviour support, NDIS participant assessment, and person-centred planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
