Enhancing Lives: Support Worker Position

Point Care is a dedicated organization focused on enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. The role involves providing support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to clients with various abilities and needs
- Assist clients with daily tasks such as eating, dressing, and grooming
- Transport clients to appointments and social events
- Offer respite care to clients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care plans and progress
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team
Requirements:
- A minimum of high school education or equivalent
- Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines
- Basic care and first aid skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
