A Diesel Mechanic position is available in a busy and well-established workshop. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with consistent hours and a supportive team environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy vehicle fleets, especially Prime Movers, and strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain, and repair a fleet of heavy vehicles including Prime Movers
  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs on engines, braking systems, hydraulics, and electrical components
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure all vehicles meet safety standards
  • Work closely with the workshop team to support efficient operations
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with company procedures
  • Willingness to travel to other depots when needed to support operational demands

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified Diesel Mechanic (Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
  • Experience with heavy vehicle fleets, especially Prime Movers
  • Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to work independently and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Leadership experience (if applying for the 2IC role)
  • Safety-focused mindset and reliable work ethic
  • Full working rights in Australia

Job Details:

  • A competitive hourly rate based on experience
  • A full-time, permanent role with 8-10 hour shifts, Monday to Friday
  • A medical check required prior to commencement
