Lifestyle Assistant

At Catholic Healthcare, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lifestyle Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in promoting the psychological, social, and physical wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Lifestyle Coordinator in developing and implementing activity programmes and social activities to enhance resident engagement and satisfaction.
  • Work collaboratively with the Residential Manager and other team members to ensure a high standard of care and support is provided to residents.
  • Provide emotional support and empathy to residents, promoting a sense of belonging and connection within the community.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and welcoming environment, adhering to Catholic Healthcare's values and standards.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working in an aged care environment, with a focus on lifestyle and leisure activities.
  • Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain on employment.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organisational skills.
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of older adults and people with disabilities.
