Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lactation Consultant to join our team in providing specialist care, consultancy, and education to staff, patients, and families within the hospital requiring lactation support.

The successful candidate will lead innovation and research to improve clinical outcomes and contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing advanced level of clinical expertise in delivering high-quality lactation consultancy and care
  • Developing and implementing clinical guidelines and applying research to practice
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating lactation education sessions for patients and staff

Solid knowledge of research methodology and continuous quality improvement is also essential for this role.


Requirements
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  • Accreditation with the International Board of Lactation Consultants
  • Current Working with Children Registration

Diploma or higher tertiary qualification in relevant field is desirable but not necessary.


Benefits
  • Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (pro rata)
  • 12% employer superannuation contribution
  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10%

About the Role
