About the Role:

As a Heavy Leading Hand Diesel Fitter, you will thrive on challenges and variety of work available. You are passionate and energetic person who values responsibility, recognition and reward. In this role, you'll undertake range of maintenance activities at Mt Holland Mine on 14/7 FIFO roster.
  • You will lead skilled mobile maintenance team following managers and supervisors' directives.
  • You will perform servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation.
  • You will source technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems.
  • You will provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.
  • You will source and requisition parts and/or equipment requirements through appropriate manuals or publications using correct ordering procedure.
  • You will verify implementation of solutions and/or address non-conforming machinery until resolution.

About You:

  • Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance HD Fitters.
  • Positive leadership style with strong time-management skills and ability to pivot around priorities while guiding, assisting, and supervising the maintenance team.
  • Experience in planning servicing, repair and preventative maintenance of heavy mobile mining equipment.
  • Commitment to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to ensure all required paperwork is completed to high standard by tradespeople.
  • Proactive in workplace to ensure quality work.
  • High Risk Work Licences advantageous – WP, LF and Rigging.
