Diesel Fitter/Maintenance Supervisor Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter/Maintenance Supervisor to join our team as a Site Representative at Curragh Mine.

  • Ensure planned servicing and repair maintenance is done with minimal downtime and within cost requirements.
  • Work closely with the client to ensure our fleet is prioritised and maintained appropriately.
  • Monitor and oversee day-to-day maintenance requirements for the fleet.
  • Collaborate with the internal team at the workshop if additional assistance is required.
  • Provide regular updates to management on the fleet and any repairs or maintenance requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify equipment issues and implement repairs.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimise downtime and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Trade qualified with post-trade experience in the mining industry (Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic).
  • Current Coal Board Medical & Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Queensland driver licence.
  • The ability to work closely with a client and influence them for a good outcome for both parties.
